Ingredients
- 🍴10 green unripe bananas
- 🍴1 cup refined oil
- 🍴1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 🍴1 teaspoon chili powder
- 🍴water as required
- 🍴salt as required
- 🍴1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 🍴2 pinches baking soda
- 🍴1/2 teaspoon thymol seeds
- 🍴2 pinches asafoetida
Instructions
- 🍴Peel the unripe bananas and chop them into slices. Once done, keep the bananas aside.
- 🍴In a deep bottomed bowl, add gram flour followed by asafoetida, chili powder, turmeric, thymol seeds, baking soda and salt. Add in enough water and mix until you get a thick consistency.
- 🍴Keep a deep-bottomed pan on medium heat and add refined oil in it. Allow the oil to be heated and dip the banana slices in the prepared batter. Once the oil is hot enough, carefully add the banana slices in the oil.
- 🍴Deep fry the banana slices till they get a golden shade. Transfer them onto a tissue and allow the excess oil to be absorbed. Serve hot!
