Ingredients
- 🍴2 tomato
- 🍴2 green chillies
- 🍴1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 🍴1 sprig of curry leaves
- 🍴3/4 cup yoghurt (curd)
- 🍴1 onion
- 🍴2 tablespoon refined oil
- 🍴2 dry red chilli
- 🍴3/4 cup grated coconut
Instructions
- 🍴Grind coconut in yoghurt
To prepare this yummy South Indian chutney or pachadi recipe, add grated coconut, curd with 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds in a blender jar, and grind well. Once done, keep aside.
- 🍴Prepare the tempering
Now, heat oil in a pan over medium flame and crackle the remaining mustard seeds in it. Then, add curry leaves and dry red chilies, and mix well.
- 🍴Saute onion-tomato in this tempering
Now, add finely chopped onion to the pan and saute for 2 minutes. Once the onion is sauteed, add chopped tomato, green chilies and salt to taste. Stir well and saute until the tomatoes are done. Switch off the flame and allow this mixture to cool down completely.
- 🍴Mix onion-tomato with ground coconut mixture
Now, add the cooled onion-tomato mixture in coconut curd and mix well. The Tomato Pachadi is ready, you can enjoy it with plain rice or even as a side dish to complete your meal.
