Ingredients

  • 🍴1 cup lentil
  • 🍴4 leaves curry leaves
  • 🍴2 teaspoon black mustard seeds
  • 🍴2 teaspoon ginger
  • 🍴2 medium zucchini
  • 🍴2 teaspoon sugar
  • 🍴salt as required
  • 🍴2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 🍴3 teaspoon rasam powder
  • 🍴1 teaspoon green chili
  • 🍴3 cup tomato juice
  • 🍴3 teaspoon tamarind paste
  • 🍴1 cup coriander leaves

Instructions

  • 🍴Boil lentils, drain, and keep aside

In a pan, boil 4 cups of water on a medium flame. Add lentils, and sim the flame until the lentils become eatable. Drain the water from the lentils and keep it aside.

  • 🍴Add ingredients to a pan and saute

Add vegetable oil or ghee to a pan and heat on medium flame. Add curry leaves, rasam, and mustard seeds in the oil or ghee and stir for 3 minutes.

  • 🍴Add vegetables and tomato juice to the pan

Stir in chili, and ginger in the pan and stir for 3-4 minutes. Bring the flame to sim on adding tomato juice and 3 cups water to the mixture.

  • 🍴Add zucchini to the mixture and cook well with tamarind, sugar, and lentils

Now add zucchini and cook until vegetables become tender. Then add tamarind paste and sugar, salt, lentils, and coriander and cook for 5-6 minutes. Serve hot.
