Ingredients

  • 🍴1 cup tomato
  • 🍴1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 🍴4 teaspoon green chili
  • 🍴4 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 🍴1/2 cup black millet flour
  • 🍴3 teaspoon refined oil
  • 🍴1/2 cup onion
  • 🍴1/2 cup maize flour
  • 🍴1/2 cup wholemeal flour
  • 🍴water as required

Instructions

  • 🍴Wash and clean the onion, tomato, and green chilies. Carefully chop them using a clean chopping board and keep them aside until needed again.
  • 🍴In a deep bowl, add millet flour followed by wholemeal flour, maize flour, salt, chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilies and coriander leaves. Mix well and add enough water to the mixture. Mix until you get a thick batter like consistency.
  • 🍴Take a non-stick pan and put it on medium flame. Add refined oil in the pan. Now take a generous amount of batter in a spoon and pour it in the pan. Carefully spread the batter in a circular motion.
  • 🍴Allow the batter to be cooked until you see brown spots on it. Flip the cheela and cook the other side for a few minutes. Repeat the same procedure with the remaining batter and serve hot!
