Ingredients

  • 🍴250 gm okra
  • 🍴1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 🍴1 tablespoon turmeric
  • 🍴1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 🍴1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 🍴2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 🍴2 tablespoon grated coconut
  • 🍴1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • 🍴2 gm dry mango powder
  • 🍴salt as required
  • 🍴1 tablespoon gram flour (besan)
  • 🍴4 tablespoon peanut powder

Instructions

  • 🍴 Cut okra and prepare the masala

Cut the okra pieces from the middle from only one side and remove the top. Next, take a bowl and mix together all the spices with peanut powder and gram flour.

  • 🍴 Stuff and fry the okra for 10-15 minutes

Fill the slit okra with the powdered spices and keep aside. Put a non-stick pan over medium flame and heat a little oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, add the stuffed okra and stir fry until tender and the green color of bhindi is turned into brown in color. Once fried well, serve hot with chapati and dal of your choice. (Note: We have added grated coconut in this recipe for some extra flavors, you can avoid using it if you do not like it.)
