Ingredients

  • 🍴1/2 cup pureed spinach
  • 🍴1/2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • 🍴salt as required
  • 🍴1/4 cup urad dal
  • 🍴1 cup wheat flour
  • 🍴4 tablespoon refined oil

Instructions

  • 🍴For making this South Indian recipe, combine urad dal and fenugreek seeds along with enough water in a deep bowl and soak for 2 hours. Drain well. Wash thoroughly.
  • 🍴Blend in a mixer to form a smooth batter.
  • 🍴Transfer the mixture to another bowl, add the spinach purée, whole wheat flour, salt and water. Mix well.
  • 🍴In the meantime, heat a non-stick tava, sprinkle a little water on it.
  • 🍴Pour a ladleful of the batter on it and spread it in a circular motion to make dosa.
  • 🍴Cook till the dosa turns light brown in color from both sides. Drizzle a little oil from the sides.
  • 🍴Garnish with handful of chopped onions, green chills and paprika. Serve immediately with sambhar and coconut chutney.
