Ingredients
- 🍴1 cup rice
- 🍴salt as required
- 🍴1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 🍴1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 🍴2 tablespoon refined oil
- 🍴1 cup urad dal
- 🍴1 cup grated carrot
- 🍴1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 🍴1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 🍴1 teaspoon cumin seeds
Instructions
- 🍴Wash rice and dal properly. Soak rice and dal separately in bowls for 3 hours. After 3 hours, grind rice and dal to a smooth paste. Transfer to a bowl and keep overnight for fermenting.
- 🍴Next day mix dosa batters nicely. Add salt and water as per requirement.
- 🍴Now, heat a non-stick pan, drizzle a teaspoon of oil. Pour a spoonful of the batter and spread evenly in a circular shape.
- 🍴Now, for the carrot stuffing, take a cup of grated carrot, turmeric, cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste, and red chili powder. Sautee everything for 3-4 minutes in a pan and then grind it to form a paste. You can also add 1-2 tbsp tamarind pulp for added taste.
- 🍴Now pour 1 tbsp of this carrot mixture over the dosa and let it cook. When golden brown from one side, flip it.
- 🍴Cook from both sides and serve with coconut chutney and sambhar.
