Ingredients

- 🍴1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 🍴3 tablespoon refined oil
- 🍴4 black cardamom
- 🍴2 large capsicum (green pepper)
- 🍴2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 🍴1/2 tablespoon ginger paste
- 🍴2 onion
- 🍴1 dash turmeric
- 🍴1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 🍴1 green chili
- 🍴1 teaspoon mace
- 🍴3 bay leaf
- 🍴water as required
- 🍴red bell pepper as required
Instructions
- 🍴To start preparing this recipe, start by washing the rice and then soaking it for about 30 minutes. Then, take a deep pan and boil water in it. When the water starts boiling, add the soaked rice and cook till it becomes soft. While that cooks, take the onions, capsicums, green chili and coriander leaves and wash them under running water. Then, using a clean chopping board, chop them up separately.
- 🍴Now, take a separate pan over medium flame and heat oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, add cumin seeds, chopped onions, ginger paste, spices, and chili, and stir fry them till they emit an aroma. Then, add the chopped capsicum along with the peas to the mixture and stir fry for 5-7 minutes.
- 🍴Season the masala with salt and pepper. Drizzle a little water and then add the cooked rice to it. Mix everything together and cook for a couple of minutes. Once it's cooked, turn off the flame.
- 🍴Finally, take the red bell peppers and slice them open from the top. Take out the seeds from the inside using a spoon and transfer the Spicy Capsicum Rice to it. Place them on a serving tray and enjoy the delicious meal with papad or curd.
