Ingredients

  • 🍴2 cup rice
  • 🍴1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 🍴2 tablespoon roasted peanuts
  • 🍴1 teaspoon chana dal
  • 🍴6 curry leaves
  • 🍴1/4 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 🍴100 gm raw mango
  • 🍴1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 🍴1 teaspoon urad dal
  • 🍴salt as required
  • 🍴1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 🍴3 green chili

Instructions

  • 🍴Cook rice

Rinse and drain the rice. Cook the rice and keep it aside. Rice should be cooked well but not mushy.

  • 🍴Grate the mango

Wash, peel, and grate the mango. Taste the mango and use it accordingly.

  • 🍴Add the ingredients in a kadhai and saute

Heat oil in a kadhai over medium flame. Add in mustard, urad dal, and chana dal, and few curry leaves, and allow it to splutter. Furthermore, add peanuts and saute for a minute.

  • 🍴Add mango, green chili, and turmeric, and saute

Also, add raw mango, green chili, and turmeric. Saute for a minute or till mango shrinks.

  • 🍴Add cooked rice and mix well

Now add in 2 cups cooked rice and salt to taste. Mix gently without breaking rice grains.
