Ingredients

  • 🍴4 cup pressed rice
  • 🍴4 pieces of green chilies
  • 🍴1 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 🍴1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 🍴4 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 🍴2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 🍴salt as required
  • 🍴4 teaspoon urad dal
  • 🍴8 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 🍴1 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 🍴4 red chili
  • 🍴8 leaves curry leaves
  • 🍴4 tablespoon chana dal

Instructions

  • 🍴Take a chopping board and chop coriander leaves. In a strainer, add poha and rinse under running water to remove dust particles. Transfer pressed rice to a large bowl and mix in turmeric powder, asafoetida, lemon juice, curry leaves, and salt. Add 3 cups of water and soak it for 30 mins.
  • 🍴Meanwhile, in a deep shallow pan, heat oil. Add green chilies, mustard seeds, red chilies, chana dal and urad dal.
  • 🍴Saute until seeds start to splutter. Add soaked poha to the pan and saute to coat with the tempering. Cover the pan and cook it for 4-5 minutes. Transfer to serving plates and garnish it with coriander leaves.
