Ingredients
- 🍴1/2 cup rice
- 🍴1/2 cup jaggery
- 🍴1 cup water
- 🍴2 tablespoon cashews
- 🍴3 tablespoon moong dal
- 🍴1 cup milk
- 🍴1 tablespoon ghee
- 🍴2 tablespoon raisins
Instructions
- 🍴Cook rice and dal
Wash the rice and dal properly. Add them to the pressure cooker, along with water, and cook until done. Now take them out in a bowl and mash lightly.
- 🍴Heat milk
Heat milk in a pan. Let it come to a boil. Add jaggery and mix. Now add the rice and dal mixture and mix well. Let it cook for 10-12 minutes.
- 🍴Add cashews and raisins
Now heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan. Add cashews and raisins to it. Roast for 2-3 minutes. Add them to the rice-milk mixture. You will notice the Kalkandu Sadam getting thicker.
- 🍴Serve hot
Cook for another 2 minutes and serve hot.
