Ingredients
- 🍴1 cup kala chana
- 🍴4 tablespoon refined oil
- 🍴For Filling
- 🍴1 teaspoon garlic
- 🍴1 teaspoon green chilli
- 🍴1/4 teaspoon carom seeds
- 🍴1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 🍴1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 🍴salt as required
For Dough
- 🍴2 cup wheat flour
- 🍴3/4 cup water
For Garnishing
- 🍴1 handful coriander leaves
Instructions
- 🍴To prepare this breakfast recipe, add kale chane in a pressure cooker along with enough water to cover them. Place the pressure cooker over medium flame and boil the chane. Once done, drain the water and add the black chana in a bowl. Now, in a large bowl, add boiled chana, garlic, ginger, green chillies, carom seeds, salt, red chilli powder. Mix them well and set this aside. This will become the filling for the paratha. Knead them into a dough while mashing the boiled chickpeas in the dough.
- 🍴Now, in a bowl, add wheat flour along with water and knead it into a soft dough. Make small round balls from this dough and then flatten them in the shape of round disc out using a rolling pin. Place 1 tablespoon of filling in each flattened disc and close it carefully. Now, using a rolling pin, roll out the parathas.
- 🍴Heat a non-stick pan over medium flame and add 1 tablespoon of refined oil in it. Place a raw stuffed paratha on the pan and let it cook on one side. When tiny bubbles start to rise, flip the paratha and cook the other side as well. Make sure that both sides turn golden-brown in color. Repeat this with all the parathas and, once done, place them on a platter. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve these hot with curd or pickle to enjoy!
