Ingredients

  • 🍴250 gm okra
  • 🍴3 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 🍴2 pinches asafoetida
  • 🍴1 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 🍴salt as required
  • 🍴black sesame seeds as required
  • 🍴2 potato
  • 🍴1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 🍴1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 🍴1 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 🍴1 teaspoon cumin powder

For Garnishing

  • 🍴2 teaspoon coriander leaves

Instructions

  • 🍴 Wash okra and potatoes and chop them

Wash okra and potatoes separately and drain the water in order to get rid of the impurities. Now, cut them into long strips.

  • 🍴 Saute spices over medium flame and then add okra along with potatoes in it

Now, heat oil in a pan over medium flame. Once hot, add cumin seeds in it and let them splutter for a few seconds. Now, add asafoetida, salt, black sesame seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chopped okra and potato it. Give it a good stir and cook till the veggies become soft.

  • 🍴 Sprinkle coriander and cumin powder and serve with roti or rice

Now, add cumin powder and coriander powder to the pan. Mix well over medium flame. Your Bhindi Batata Nu Shaak is now ready. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve them hot with chapatis or rice.
