Ingredients
- 🍴1 apple
- 🍴1 teaspoon rasam powder
- 🍴1/2 teaspoon peppercorns
- 🍴3 curry leaves
- 🍴2 tablespoon Refined oil
- 🍴1 tomato
- 🍴1 pinch powdered turmeric
- 🍴1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 🍴1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- 🍴A variation of popular South Indian rasam, Apple Rasam has a sweet and tangy flavor. To prepare this rasam recipe, peel off the skin of the apple, grate it, and set it aside.
- 🍴Then take a washed tomato and cut it finely, and add pepper powder to it.
- 🍴Now, take a saucepan on medium flame and add an apple in it with a cup of dal water, tomato, rasam powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix all the ingredients well and cook the rasam.
- 🍴When the raw smell subsides, add 2 cups of dal water to the rasam along with pepper powder and 1 cup of water.
- 🍴When the rasam starts to boil and bubbles form on top, remove the pan from the stove, and keep it aside.
- 🍴Take a frying pan, and heat a little oil in it, and add mustard and curry leaves into it. When mustard seeds start spluttering, add them to the rasam.
- 🍴Serve it hot to your near and dear ones, and relish its taste.
